  • The Proposal for the European Parliament and of the Council Directive on consumer rights was approved.
  • It was published in the Official Journal the Law 17/2011, of 3 May, amending the Law on combating terrorism (Law 52/2003, of 22 August), adapting it to the Council Framework-Decision 2008/919/JHA, of 28 November and amending the Framework-Decision 2002/475/JHA on combating terrorism.
  • The Hague Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children.
  • Directive 2011/36/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 April 2011 on preventing and combating trafficking in human beings and protecting its victims.
  • The Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC), created within the scope of the United Nations and guided by the Security Council Resolutions, shall hold a special meeting on the theme "Prevention of Terrorism", from 19 to 21 April 2011 at the Palais de l'Europe in Strasbourg, France.

  • Consolidation of diplomas – “Justice laws” -Three years after the launching of the project “Justice laws”, DGPJ gives one more step forward as regards the access and the knowledge of the law in force in the Justice area. For that matter, it is now available online the consolidated texts of the Civil Procedure Code and of the Criminal Procedure Code.
  • The launching of IACA Inaugural Conference takes place in Vienna, on the 2 and 3 September 2010. Among the many ministerial representations from the ONU Member States, the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, as well as the new Executive Director of UNODC, Yuri Fedotov, shall be present.
